Rimba Arabic School launched a Universiti
Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Book
Corner yesterday.
The initiative was in collaboration with
UNISSA’s Research and Publication Centre.
Previously, UNISSA Book Corners were set
up at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha
Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School
(SUAMPRIPAHS), Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic

Secondary School (SMALHB) and Ma’had
Islam Brunei.
Some 197 book titles have been donated at
the event. The topics and disciplines included
Islamic studies, law, economics, culture,
civilisation and learning Arabic. The books
were published in three languages - Arabic,
French and English.

The Seria Library of the Language and
Literature Bureau’s (DBP) two-day garage
sale which began yesterday, attracted a large
number of visitors.
Assistant Librarian Grade 1 Norhaizah
binti Mustaffa said the garage sale is the irst
major event for the library as the activities
they planned had to be cancelled following
the COVID19 outbreak.
“The response from the visitors has been

she said.
Norhaizah said the library also received
feedback from potential vendors wishing
to participate, but as this was the library’s
irst event for the year, they had limited the
booths to only staff members.
“We hope to organise more events in the
future as school holidays are just around the
corner,” she said.
With ive booths, the garage sale also
aimed to make the public aware about the
activities the library conducts throughout
the year. The garage sale continues today.
Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and
Neighbourhood Watch members held several
crime prevention patrols recently.
