Mosque marked Hari Raya Aidilad-
ha with a
Korban
ceremony at the
mosque yesterday.

(MoRA) Haji Mohd Serudin bin
Haji Timbang was present to
distribute the sacriicial meat to
the attendees.
This year’s event saw six
buffaloes being sacriiced for Hari
Raya Aidiladha.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of
the
Takmir
Committee of Pengiran
Muda ‘Abdul Mateen Mosque and
Secretary of MPK Kampong Mulaut
Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Mohd Don
said in a speech that a portion of the
Korban
meat will be distributed by
the attendees to avoid bottleneck
at one speciic spot of the mosque.

Korban
ceremony
yesterday in collaboration with
Kampong Jerudong Village Con-
sultative Council to mark Hari
Raya Aidiladha as part of its so-
cial investment initiative.
The event took place at Sayy-
idina Husain Secondary School,
attended by BGC Deputy Man-
aging Director Pengiran Sham-
hary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka
Haji Mustapha and Pehin Orang
Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major Gen-
eral (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji
Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz
who also distributed the sacrii-
cial meat to 40 underprivileged
families.
Also joining the distribution
of meat was BGC’s Contracts and
Procurement Manager Pengiran
Dianawaty binti Pengiran Haji
Matzin and People Manager Md
Khairul Amilin bin Maidin.
In light of the global
COVID19 pandemic, this year’s
meat distribution was carried
out in a drive-through format to
ensure social distancing mea-
sures were upheld.
The event, aimed at support-
ing underprivileged families in
Kampong Jerudong, saw the
sacriice of two buffaloes and
one cow.

The alumni of St Andrew’s School
organised a
Korban
ceremony
at Seri Chermin Filling Station in
Kampong Sungai Besar yesterday.
Twenty-eight members of the
alumni from 19761982 intakes
participated in the event that saw
the sacriice of four cattle for the
religious occasion.
The
Korban
meat was later dis-
tributed to underprivileged indi-
viduals in Kampong Sungai Besar
and Kampong Sungai Bunga by
Deputy Permanent Secretary at
the Ministry of Primary Resources
and Tourism Hajah Tutiaty binti
Haji Abdul Wahab.
The ceremony was the first
of its kind organised by the
alumni to foster closer ties
among its members.

Mosque, with cooperation from
its
Takmir
committee, held an
‘Indahnya Berbagi’
to mark Hari
Raya Aidiladha celebrations at its
premises yesterday.
The event saw the distribution of
Korban
meat to 120 underprivileged
individuals as well as residents of
the area.
The objective of the programme
was to foster the spirit of sharing
amid the Hari Raya Aidiladha
celebrations while providing the
youth an opportunity to participate
in welfare activities.

This year saw the distribution of
Korban
meat to 23 underprivileged
individuals, 42 participants of the
ceremony and 150 residents in
Kampong Sungai Teraban.

yesterday held a
Korban
cer-
emony at its premises, joining
the ranks of mosques across the
country that marked Hari Raya
Aidiladha with the distribution of
sacriicial meat.
The event was attended by
advisor to the mosque’s
Takmir
committee Pehin Orang Kaya Seri
Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato
Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad
bin Haji Daud who later distrib-
uted the sacriicial meat to 48 un-
derprivileged families.
Yesterday’s ceremony, part
of the mosque’s annual religious
activities, saw the sacrifice of
six cows.
