The Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF)
brought smiles to the children of YASKA
(Children’s Cancer Foundation) as they
handed over Ramadhan gifts consisting
of Lego, books and toys to the children
last Saturday.
YASKA Vice Chairperson and Occupa-
tional Therapist at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak
Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital’s Paediatric Oncol-
ogy Ward Tsara’ Nawwarah binti Abdul-
lah Chen received the donations on the
children’s behalf.
The gifts came along with personalised
cards made specially by the children of the
committee of the BBBF for the YASKA chil-
dren enclosing messages of support and
Ramadhan greetings.
BBBF Chairperson Yvonne Kuan noted
that Ramadhan is a time for gifting and re-
membering children who are going through
tough times.
“We are delighted to bring some joy to these
brave children and to let them know that we are
with them as they ight their battles,” she said.
YASKA is a non-governmental organisation
providing information and support for children
diagnosed with cancer and their families.
BBBFwas foundedunder thepatronageof the
British High Commission in Brunei Darussalam
to enable British and Bruneian business people
to boost trade.

The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM)
carried out the ‘
Sejambak Kasih
MKM Proj-
ect’ by distributing basic food items to 100
heads of families comprising MKM’s clients.
The distribution of the daily foods
necessities was carried out by practis-
ing social and physical distancing in
accordance to the Ministry of Health’s
(MoH) advice.
The MKMdelegation distributing the con-
tributionwas led by its President Mohd Yusof
bin Halim along with the governance com-
mittee and members. MKM is distributing
food items to clients in the four districts. The
distribution started at its ofice in Kampong
Sungai Hanching.
Family heads received basic food neces-
sities worth BND165 such as rice, sugar,
cooking oil, canned food and drinks. Funds
for this project was derived from contri-
butions donated by the public including
BND5,000 from imagine Sdn Bhd.
The project aims to ease the burden
of MKM’s clients. The annual project
is carried out during Ramadhan to as-
sist clients in preparation for Hari Raya
Aidilitri festivities.

Forty-four recipients comprising underprivi-
leged individuals and orphans received dona-
tions via the drive-thru concept at the Mukim
Sengkurong Community Hall yesterday.

The selected recipients were from Kam-
pong Jerudong ‘A’ and ‘B’. The donation
was organised by WARISAN to ease the
recipients’ burden, especially in the month
of Ramadhan.

Harley Owners Group (HOG) Brunei Chapter
members handed over donations to the Youth
Volunteers donation drive, Ministry of Cul-
ture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) at the Indoor
Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National
Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday to assist
people in need while the country is facing the
COVID19 pandemic.

sistant Director Pengiran Redzaidi bin Pen-
giran Haji Ahmad, Treasurer Md Al Ameen
bin Haji Sabli, Secretary Pengiran Jefri bin
Pengiran Haji Md Damit and HOG Brunei
Chapter members.
The contributions consisted of basic daily
necessities and food items such as cook-
ing oil, canned food items, mineral water,
noodles and sauces, tea and Milo, as well
as toiletries such as toilet tissue, shampoo,
body wash, hand soap, tissue, toothpaste and
tooth brushes worth over BND500. The items
were purchased with funds from HOG Brunei
Chapter members.
Abdul Malek said, “I would like to thank the
HOG Brunei Chapter members who donated
to this COVID19 fund. May Allah the Almighty
bless you and us. I would also like to thank Pen-
giranHaji Zulkili andHajahNoor Monasalieana
and her teamwho personally came to receive
the donation.”
