BANG! NEWS - The cast of
Friends
recorded a 90-minute special, ac-
cording to a TV insider.
An unscripted reunion special
of the hit sitcom was originally set
to be ilmed in March, before it had
to be postponed due to the coro-
navirus pandemic - but Courteney
Cox and director Ben Winston re-
cently ilmed a “mock rehearsal”
of the show over Zoom, with the
ambition of releasing it before the
reunion airs.
A show insider told
The Sun
on Sunday
newspaper, “As soon
as ilming was cancelled, every-
one started panicking as it took
so long to get their schedules
to align, there was a deep fear it
may take a year or even longer
to get them all back together
again.
“Courtney immediately set
up a Zoom meeting for them
and they all logged on to discuss
ideas - brain-storming and bring-
ing in the producers for a ses-
sion which they called a mock
rehearsal and chatted for almost
two hours.
“They’ve been having daily
meetings and Jen (Aniston) - who
has the busiest schedule of the six
- has assured them she’ll do what-
ever she can to ensure they don’t
have to wait months to get the re-
union ilmed.
“Their Zoom sessions have
been brilliant fun, and there’s
some hilarious material on there
which they hope can be aired as
either a series of teasers, or even
a stand-alone special.”
The show’s original cast - in-
cluding Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeB-
lanc, Matthew Perry and David
Schwimmer - agreed to appear in
the reunion special.
However, TV bosses still need
to set a new date to air the show
amid the ongoing pandemic,
which has halted production on
lots of high-proile TV series and
ilms over recent weeks.

them for “10 days”.
The 54-year-old singer has
three sons - Kingston, 13, Zuma,
11, and Apollo, six - with his ex-

the global health crisis, he hasn’t
seen his brood in person for
“10 days”.
He said, “I spent the irst two
weeks with them, and then they
went to Oklahoma. They’re on
a 10,000 acre ranch so I’m just
thinking it’s okay for now, but
we’ll see.
“That is the real big dilemma,
for parents ... kids ... with split
custody. Because you don’t wan-
na ... I don’t wanna ... you know
what I mean? You’re mindful of
like, I know who’s around me, no-
one. No one’s bringing me the
corona, no one. But when you
send your kids out somewhere
else, when they come back to
you, now you’re prone to whoever
they’re with. It’s a tricky one for all
divorced parents.”
Gavin normally sees his sons
“every ive days or so”.

thanks
to
the

The

have both been staying in-

helped them “to love each oth-

But one thing that may be
getting on the pairs nerves dur-
ing self-isolation is their pet
cat Figaro, as Mandy recently
revealed the it loves to mewl
whenever she or Taylor, 34,
sings around the house.
Mandy claimed Figaro only
began the strange behaviour
after a visit to a pet psychic,
who told the couple to rename
the cat to the musical moniker,
which comes from the Mozart
opera
The Marriage of Figaro
.
She said, “One of the last
times I was on the show we talk-
ed about Fig, our cat who had
to have his name changed ... it’s
a very long story - we talked to
a pet psychic, she told us that
we needed to change his name
to Figaro.
“Andhe does ... truly anytime
I start singing or Taylor sings,
especially when we harmonise
... he could be on the other side
of the house fast asleep, and
it’s like, suddenly he’s up on the
piano with us. And he sings! I
mean, he meows.”
