COVID-19: Malaysia records 217 new cases
and three more deaths
KUALA LUMPUR (CNA) - Malaysia reported
217 new cases of COVID19 yesterday, bring-
ing the total number of people tested posi-
tive to 3,333.

Two videos that went viral on social me-
dia, showing a middle-aged man pur-
portedly beating to death two pup-
pies stuffed into a sack at a house
compound in Kampong Lambak Kanan,
sparked widespread outrage among the
public recently.
Many condemned the alleged mistreat-
ment of the animals, calling it “inhumane”
and “ruthless”.

Brunei Darussalam recorded one conirmed
COVID19 case yesterday, with the country
continuing to record a low number of cases
in the past four days. The total number of in-
fected persons stands at 134.
Nine more cases who received treatment
at the National Isolation Centre have recov-
ered and were permitted to go home. This
brings the total number of persons who have
recovered in the country to 65.
