BEIJING (AFP) - China faced deepening
isolation over its coronavirus epidemic
yesterday as the death toll soared to 259,
with the United States (US) and Australia
leadingagrowinglistofnationstoimpose
extraordinary Chinese travel bans.
WithBritain,RussiaandSwedenamong
the countries conirming their irst infec-
tions, the virus has now spread to more
than two dozen nations, sending govern-
ments scurrying to limit their exposure.
Brunei Darussalam’s waters are free from
red water pollution, the Fisheries Depart-
ment, Ministry of Primary Resources and
Tourism stated.
It said this was revealed following results
from the monitoring and analysis reports on
Brunei waters since August 2019.
The department, however said as a pre-
cautionary measure, the public is reminded to
remove all gills, stomachs and internal organs
of ish before cooking.
The public is also advised not to eat small
ish if the gills, stomachs and internal organs
cannot be removed, shellish and ish of un-
known origin.
The department will continue themonitoring
of red water.
The public can report any incident of water
colour change, or inding large numbers of
dead ish in Brunei Darussalam’s coastal waters
and beaches on 2770066 (working hours) and
7297771 (hotline).

growing concern over novel coronavirus
(2019-nCOV).

ited the border entry point of Kuala Lurah
yesterday afternoon.
Accompanying the minister were Deputy
Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the
MoH Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif,
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and
Management) at the MoH Maswadi bin Haji
Mohsin and ministry's oficials.
